

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marless Wayne Waldrop; her parents; and her sisters, Louise Garrott, Jean Boudreaux and June Brown.
She is survived by their two sons, Chris and his wife Melissa, and Mike and his wife Laurie. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Boyd; her grandchildren, Michael, David, Drew, Simon and Michelle; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving family filled her life.
Joyce attended Incarnate Word Academy in Houston and went on to work at Kroger Bakery for many years where she retired. She was co-founder of the Waldrop Company Inc. - a family business specializing in packaging equipment located in Houston which is still in the family today. She served on the Ladies of Houston Charity and enjoyed helping others. In retirement, she and Marless split their time between Houston and their ranch in Schulenburg, Texas. She was a guiding light and will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 5th of March, in the Jasek Chapel and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where recitation of the holy rosary is to commence at half-past six o’clock.
The Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 6th of March, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where Fr. Wayne W. Wilkerson, Pastor, will celebrate.
The Rite of Committal is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
