Joyce Durand Wallace

Joyce Durand Wallace, age 87, of Chappell Hill, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday morning March 31, 2022. in College Station. Joyce was born on September 24, 1934 in New Orleans Louisiana to Samuel Carl Durand and Mary Ann Olga Wells Longshore. Grandchild of Noah Wells Longshore, Marie Camilla Dugas, Henrietta Gautreaux and John Marie Durand all of New Orleans Louisiana

Joyce attended Sacred Heart Academy and upon graduation moved to Houston Texas where she married and had one daughter. After divorcing she met "her true love" Frank Edward Wallace and they began a life of travel and adventure together as he worked in the oil industry. They celebrated over 37 years of marriage before his passing in 2009.

She was also a very proud and loving grandmother to Wynn Conrads and his wife Katie, both of whom she adored.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Conrads, grandson Wynn Conrads and wife Katie. In-laws Margaret Durand, Helen Wallace, Amber Branch and Don and wife Pat Wallace. God.children Jordan Johnson, Janet Durand and Karen Pinel along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, brothers Lloyd and Herbert Durand, brother-in-law Dr. Norman Wallace and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation with family & friends for Joyce will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079, followed by a committal service. There will be a reception following the committal service.
