Juan German Pereira

Juan was born on August 9, 1933 to Clemente and Rafaela Pereira in Guayama, Puerto Rico. After High School, Juan attended the University of Puerto Rico, where he obtained his Bachelors in Business Administration. He also served in the United States Army Reserve from 1954 to 1962.

Juan worked and raised his family in San Juan, Puerto Rico and in 1980, he moved to Houston, Texas; where he worked as an Accountant and Comptroller for Jacobs Engineering.

Juan enjoyed a variety of hobbies in his free time such as, singing and playing guitar, golf and entertaining his family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan and loved the Houston Astros, Rockets and Texans.

Juan is preceded in death by his parent, Clemente and Rafaela Pereira, and brother, Jaime Pereira.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife Carmen Morales Pereira, of 55 years; daughters Carmen Faust and husband Eric, Sandra Rodriguez and husband Hiram; son, Juan German Pereira, Jr. and wife Christina; grandchildren, Cassandra Zepeda 24, Lilian Carmen Pereira 18, Juan German Pereira III 16, Melody Nicole Faust 13, Evan Joseph Faust 13, and Andrew James Pereira 13; sister, Gloria Zayas; beloved brothers, Jose Pereira, Ernesto Pereira, Idoel Pereira; and many nieces and nephews and many close friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Catholic Charities.

A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10 am at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Dr. Houston, Texas 77082.
