

Juana Garcia Lopez, born on September 4, 1960, in Acuna, Mexico, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 65. Juana was a cherished resident of Navasota, Texas. She was known for being honest, kind-hearted, and beloved by all who knew her. Her compassionate and thoughtful nature, coupled with her humorous and selfless spirit, made her a brave and gentle soul.
Juana moved with her family from Acuna, Mexico, in 1964 to Belton, Texas, and eventually made Houston, Texas, her home. She married her former spouse, Jerry Amador, on November 24, 1979. Jerry preceded her in death on September 5, 2012.
Juana was a devoted mother to her children, Stephanie Villegas and her husband Gavino, Melissa Martinez and her husband Andrew, and Matthew Amador. She was a loving grandmother to Alvin Aguilar, Paris Aguilar, Everly Martinez, and Alpha Martinez. Her legacy also includes her great-grandchildren, Ghenna Aguilar and Miko Aguilar. She is survived by her sisters, Alma Pinckard, Myra Amador, Rosa Sexton, and Juanita Montano, as well as her brother, Victor Garcia. Juana was preceded in death by her brother, Jesus Garcia. She is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews.
In her personal life, Juana enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for her famous Menudo, which she loved to cook for her loved ones.
Juana's life was a testament to her selfless love and dedication to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Memorial Service will be held for Juana at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at The Navasota Center, 101 Stadium Dr. Navasota, TX 77868.
