

Nita was affectionately called "Mammy" by all of her babies whom she spoiled with her heart of gold. Nita loved to dance, travel with her one and only sister, Virginia; loved all sports; cherished her only daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Bill; her three awesome grandsons, Scott Michael Zaleski and his partner Patrick Barbin, Billy Jerome Zaleski and his wife Starr, Matthew Alan Zaleski and his wife, Piper; her five amazing great grand children, Will, Cate, Caroline, Miller and Jeb; and her three nieces, Catherine Jean Parker, Peggy Lynn Marcketta; and one nephew, Bobby Lee Reynolds, whom she lovingly treated as her own; and her best friend, Billie Watson.
She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence Harold Dawson; great granddaughter, Mary Dawson Zaleski; sister, Virginia Lee "Ginny" Reynolds; and niece, Dr. Sue Ann Reynolds.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 2nd of October, in the parlor and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 3rd of October, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where the Rev. Daniel Lahart, S.J., President of Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, and the Rev. Bob Wisner, Assistant Pastor of St. Francis Episcopal Church, are to officiate. Honored to serve as casket bearers during the services are Scott Michael Zaleski, Billy Jerome Zaleski, Matthew Alan Zaleski, William Pierce Zaleski, J.R. Burleson and Jeb Burleson. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Jackson Bennett Zaleski.
Interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family at a reception at a venue to be announced during the services.
