First came in contact with Jehovah's Witnesses in the late 60's in Corpus Christi Texas. Later moved to Houston Texas in the 70's and was contacted by a Spanish Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses….. she started a regular bible study. Learning what it meant to come to know God and realized He had a personal name …Jehovah. As her studies progressed she learned that God has a purpose for the Earth and how she could gain His favor.
Through her struggles in life and her limited education she realized that Jehovah God was the Only True God . She began to build her relationship with our Creator and never looked back to her old way of life. Jehovah God had become real to her . She became a full time minister for many years. Her most enjoyable times was sharing with people what she had learned from the Bible. Her faith was solid and unshakeable. She was loyal to Jehovah God to the very end. Her last Watchtower Study comment the Saturday before she died was "We are not alone ,Jehovah is our protector and guide."
The Monday before she was admitted to the hospital she was participating in a letter writing campaign, sharing a comforting message from the Bible with neighbors and relatives . She encouraged people to read their Bible and to look to God for comfort found at 2Corinthians 1:3,4 . “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials.”
She strongly embraced the hope of the earthly resurrection described at John 5:28,29 which states “Do not be amazed at this , for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out…”
Grandma looked forward to the time when the Kingdom of God under Jesus Christ would re-establish the paradise on earth originally purposed by the Creator, for the human family. She would be very pleased if on this occasion of her death, all reading this message would take the time to reflect on their own precious life and how to use it in service to the True God Jehovah.
My mom loved all her children, grandchildren, great great grand children. She had pictures of all of you in her home. She would remember every Childs birth date and would frequently ask about her children. Her hope for all of you was that you also find the True God in your lives and see the happiness and joy she experienced. The Bible has all the answers you are looking for.
I would like to thank all those that called her to talk to her, face time her, those that called to check up on her and to see if you could be of assistance. She enjoyed your calls and she was so excited to see your face. I would like to also to Thank her granddaughter Niome and her husband Ryan Hulett, son in law John Gallegos, son in law Martin Castillo for their loving support during her most difficult last days of her life. I appreciate the Love you Showed my Sweet Mom aka “Grandma”.
May you always remember its never too late to study the Bible and see what True Happiness is. The happiness and comfort my Mom found.
Love you all
From “Grandma”
