

Judy married Cameron Steve Dobos on April 14, 1961 and raised three adoring sons, Cameron "Todd", Rodd, and Jonathan. In addition to raising her boys, she raised her great niece Mandy Watson.
Judy worked primarily as a mother but also worked for the family business GEMEG Oil Company. Judy loved being the Team Mother in baseball as well as the second Mother to many in the neighborhoods. She was born into a large loving family of five siblings which included her twin brother, Jim Hornsby. Judy was known for her special dishes which included her famous beef stew. Judy through out the years was known for many terms of endearments, not only to include Mom but Jules, Julia, Julie, Shelby, and yes even Eula Mae.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Cameron; parents, Truman and Vera Rachel Hornsby; brother, Donald Hornsby; and sister Carole Hornsby. She is survived by sons: Cameron "Todd", Rodd, and Jonathan; grandson, Jacob Dobos; sisters, Maureen McDonald and husband T.R., Shirley Hornsby; brother, Jim Hornsby and wife Erica, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends to include, Patrick Sims, Joann Wilbanks, Linda Hill, Ralph Craig, Denice Bailey and Keri Scozzafava.
The family wishes to extend their utmost gratitude to the nurses at St. Luke's the Vintage Hospital as well as the expressions of compassion and concern by so many during her trying times.
The family will receive family and friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home in the Family Chapel located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston Texas 77039. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside with the burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
