Julia Battaglia On May 21, 2014 our Mother, our Momo, our "Julie" returned Home to her Savior, Jesus. She was born in Hallettsville, Tx. on July 2, 1918 to Willie and Annie Morisak, the 5th of 9 children. She grew up in Lavaca County as a tomboy who would rather pick cotton than cook. They raised a family in Houston and she was a "Mother" and mentor to many children in addition to her own. She was loving, caring and a person of character and grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Mary, Emily, Louise, Justine and brothers William (Bill) and Steve. Julia is survived by brother Jerry Morisak, sister Albina Klovenski, children Philip Anthony Battaglia and spouse Mary and Mary Parsons-Battaglia and husband Kirby W. Parsons, stepson Michael J.
