Julia Mae Carroll

Julia Mae Wawarosky Carroll, 91, of Houston went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ" Monday, December 16, 2013. She was born July 20, 1922 in Waller, TX to John and Katie Wawarosky. In her early years the family moved to Houston where she met the love of her life Tommy Carroll. They were married March 20, 1942 and spent 67 wonderful years together. Julia worked for Southwestern Bell until her retirement. She was an active member at Garden Oaks Baptist Church and loved to cook, make her own clothes and always enjoyed being with family and friends. Julia is preceded in death by her parents, John and Katie, husband Tommy, brothers/sister and brothers/sisters-in-law, Pete Rhodes, Lawrence and Ida Wawarosky, Jimmy and Adice Clepper, Bob and Beverly Wawarosky, Don Adcock, and nephew Tommy Adcock. Julia is survived by her sisters: Helen Rhodes, Sophie Adcock; 7 nephews, 1 niece; many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers please send a donation in Julia's name to Avista Living -Northwest, 9014 Ferndale Place Drive, Houston, Tx 77064 where Julia was very much loved and cared for the last three years. A celebration of Julia's life will be held at the Brookside Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 18th from 6-8PM where family and friends can visit. The funeral service will be at 2PM on Thursday, Dec. 19th, graveside service to follow.
