Kathleen A. Messman

Kathy was a registered nurse for 35 years, dedicating her career to caring for others. A devoted working mother, she balanced the demands of her profession with unwavering commitment to her family. In 1974, she married Jim Messman, and together they shared 51 years of marriage.

Kathy and Jim raised two children, Amy Lynn and Jeffrey Alan. Amy married Robert Brooks, and they live in The Woodlands, Texas, with their two children, Emily and Grant. Jeff and his wife Sarah reside in North Richland Hills, Texas with their daughter Zoe and Sarah’s son, Ray.

Kathy dearly loved her cats and found comfort and joy in caring for them. She also enjoyed her beloved true-crime television shows, which were a favorite part of her daily routine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Norma McLinden (Norma later McPhail), and her twin brothers, Brad and Bryan McLinden.

Kathy will be remembered for her feisty determination, her love and care for her family and her cats, her strength as a working mother, and the quiet moments she spent enjoying the shows she loved.
