

Kelvin “Kel” Nandlal, 30, passed away on Saturday evening, September 17, 2011, at Ben Taub Hospital after an unfortunate & tragic accident. Kelvin is survived by his wife, Reshma Rita Durgapersad Nandlal & their 2 sons, Kyan, 7, & Jai, 3; his mother Sandra Nandlal, his brothers: Anand, Ronald, Vijaye, Kayso; his sisters: Angela, Ingrid, Angnie, Loolie his mother-in-law Rukmin “Dee” Durgapersad, his sisters-in-law Susan & Rekha Durgapersad, his brothers-in-law Simeon Gokool & Cody Braud, his nieces & nephews: Asha, Dylan, Cain, Bella, Sariya, Calli, & Kaz, Brandon and countless cousins and relatives.
Kelvin was preceded in death by his father, Harinarine Nandlal, father-in-law Ramdath “Nez” Durgapersad, & brother-in-law Rajesh “Lito” Durgapersad. Kelvin was born on January 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas to Harinarine Nandlal and Sandra Nandlal On Feb. 15, 2009, he married his lifelong love of 17 years, Reshma Rita Durgapersad Nandlal, on a cruise ship off the Eastern Coast of Florida. Kelvin was a native Houstonian, where he was employed by Continental Airlines for the past 6 years as well as Aldine State Inspections on Aldine Mail Route where he & his wife owned & operated a Texas Vehicle State Inspection Station for the past 7 years. Kelvin was full of life & spirit, and he loved his family more than can be expressed in simple words. He was super intelligent, overly generous & friendly, and he gave more than he received during his wonderful 30 years of life. Kelvin always enjoyed life to the fullest, as he had a passion for traveling & vacationing, and he took his family & extended family on numerous adventures around the world. He was dedicated to his nieces & nephews, his children & their education and hobbies, such as soccer, karate, & gymnastics. Kelvin cherished his family, and he loved spending quality time with them at places such as Disney World, Splash Town, the beach, Chuck E. Cheese, and numerous other places. He was compassionate, considerate, loving, and just outright fun & pleasing to be around. He could make anyone smile with his quick wit and his fun personality. Kelvin’s other personal interests included cars, electronics, computers, music, the arts, animals, cooking, and other things such as riding jet skis, graphic design, traveling, hosting & attending a variety of social functions. Kelvin always thought of others during his entire lifetime, and he would never refuse helping anyone who asked. As such, Kelvin was an organ donor and he will continue helping others & saving lives. Kel, each & every one of us will miss you more than you could ever realize as you were close to all of our hearts which you touched in more than ways than one. You shall FOREVER remain in our hearts, thoughts, & prayers, and there will not be one day that goes by when we don’t stop missing or thinking of you. We love you. Rest in Peace…God will undoubtedly bless you & your family. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 21st from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, September 22nd in Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
