

He was born in Albany, New York on November 18, 1940. Kenneth graduated from Amsterdam High School and then proceeded to attend Oklahoma State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, after which he attended the Officers Training School, where he earned his Commission as an Officer in the United States Air Force and then he attended Purdue University, where he earned a Masters of Science. Kenneth, later went on to attend Western New England College, where he earned 3 Masters degrees; a Masters of Business Administration, a Masters of Public Administration, and a Masters of Science in Systems Management. Kenneth also received from the International Information Systems Certification Consortium, he was certified as an Information Systems Security Professional. Kenneth also had had several Presidential Recognitions as well as being listed by the Maquis Who’s Who Publication as Who’s Who in the East as well as Who’s Who in the World.
He was happily married to Katharina Judith Hyatt since May 3rd, 1962 for 63 years.
Kenneth had a career in Technology and held a Top Security position with the United States Air Force and was tasked with testing non-nuclear weapons before they were sent to Vietnam. He was then given a regular commission as an Officer. His most remarkable experience was working with the National Security Agency in Germany. It was quite an experience to be part of a group composed of Civilians, Army and Navy personnel. He was the sent to San Antonio, Alaska and Massachusetts. He then went on to be part of special group in Florida where he was a Programmer and chosen to purchase computers for the Air Force. He then went on to work as an Executive for Icon and Digital. Later he became a Professor at Lonestar College-Kingwood, where he taught Computers. He was a member of the Reserve Officers Association of the United States as a Life Time Member.
He was a member of Phi Mu Epsilon Fraternity. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Knights of Columbus, Lions, American Legion and the Masons as a 52 year Master Mason. He had a passion for Technology, Reading, Fishing, Hunting, Collecting, Chess and Cards. He participated in Free Fall Parachuting and Scuba Diving.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Katharina Judith Hyatt, his 2 children, Katharina Jacqueline Judith Hyatt-Taylor and Kenneth Andrew Robert Hyatt, as well as his grandson, Austin Damian Gunther Hyatt. He also leaves behind 4 of his siblings, Sandra, Debbie, Lenny and Cheryl.
Kenneth was a Genius and a well-rounded Man, Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was always willing to help those who needed his help.
The Funeral Service for Kenneth Hyatt will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. Please meet at Houston National Cemetery at 9:00am in lane 2.
