

On May 10, 1959, at 6:10am a precious baby boy was born in Houston, Texas to Frank Gould Thierry, Sr. and Mary Francis Thierry. They named him Kenneth Wayne Thierry. At a young age Kenneth was Christened, made his first communion and his confirmation at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. He attended J.C. Sanderson Elementary School, Francis Scott Key Middle School and Kashmere High School. He graduated from Kashmere High School in 1977. He was an A student
throughout his school years. Kenneth loved basketball and was a fan of all sport teams.
As an alumnus from Kashmere, he was active with his class and was affectionately known as “Peabody”. Kenneth went to work at the Houston Ship Channel as a longshoreman. He later attended Snyder Trucking School and began his career as a truck driver. Kenneth worked for Cargoway Logistics Trucking Company from 2013 until he passed 2024.
He loved being a truck driver. Most of his conversations were about trucking and the job. Kenneth was a reliable and hard worker until he became ill and could no longer drive his truck.
Kenneth enjoyed socializing with family and friends. The party started when he arrived as he loved to dance and make others laugh. He was the life of the party at gatherings with family and friends. Kenneth had a move when dancing that he called “The Mannequin.” He never met a stranger. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father: Frank Gould Thierry, Sr, his mother: Mary Thierry, sister: Margie Delasbour, brother: Frank Gould Thierry Jr., 2 nephews: Eldridge Gibson and Dereck Gibson and a special friend: Shirley Welch.
He leaves to cherish his humor, laughter, deep love, and friendliness with: Son: Rashod DeWalt, Sisters: Delores Gibson, Mary Wilson, and Juanita Thierry, Nieces: Cynthia Smith (Reginald Smith), Delores Yvette Gibson, Karen Parker, Tara Wilson, Shatekia Thierry, Nephews: Eric Gibson, Jerry Wilson, and Justin Thierry, and his very special friend: Gail Hope. Also left to cherish memories of Kenneth are a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and lifelong friends: James Carmouche and Jerry Arline to name a few.
