Giap Kim Dung was born to Tran Van Duong and Nguyen Anh Nguyet on November 4, 1957, in Saigon, Vietnam as the second oldest of her siblings, Dinh, Huong, Tung, Thuy, and Tuan. She and Giap Henry Hung wed on August 1, 1987, and are survived by their children, Linh, Hoang, Nhu, and Lan.
Kim Dung is a breast cancer survivor, dedicated sister, daughter, wife, mother, and woman of faith. She loved to pray, sing, and watch the news. Her love for her children was unconditional, her love for soda unmatched, and her laughter unmistakable. She was always tenacious and steadfast in her decisions. On the afternoon of October 8, 2023, she entered eternal rest to be with Henry Hung in the kingdom of God.
A visitation for Kim will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, Texas 77003. A rosary service will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 7:00 pm, 2516 Navigation Blvd, Houston, Texas 77003.
