Kim spent most of her life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she graduated from Glen Oaks High School in 1978. She also resided in New Orleans prior to moving to Houston.
Kim touched many lives; she was a tireless worker and accomplished many things. Her early adult life included a successful modeling career. She also had an accomplished fifteen year career with Sysco Corporation, but she would be quick to say the most treasured and important job she ever held was as mother to her beloved daughter Kate. After receiving her BA degree in Christianity from Houston Baptist University in 2011, Kim would take up her most recent career as a Bible teacher at Second Baptist School. Many would say that this was what she was put on this Earth to do. She had an unquenchable thirst for God’s Word and an irrepressible drive to spread it. She adored every student.
Kim was beautiful, kind, generous and spiritual. She had a deep love for her family and was a dear friend to many. She had a zest for life and a quest for learning. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister and friend, and of course a treasured mother.
Kim is survived by her husband Brad; her daughter, Kate; her parents, George and Alda Plunket; and her brothers, David and Todd Plunket.
The family would like to publicly thank Houston’s Second Baptist Church and Second Baptist School for an overwhelming outpour of support during this difficult time.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two until five o’clock this afternoon, Sunday, the 1st of December, in the parlor and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Lindig’s life is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 2nd of December, in the Sanctuary of Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive in Houston, where Dr. Danny Havard is to officiate.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the nearby Deacons Parlor of the church.
