

Dr. Kuo-Hui Wang, age 82, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Kuo-Hui was born July 7, 1938 in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. Kuo-Hui graduated from National Taiwan University in 1959 and received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He went on to receive a Master's degree in Chemical Science from National Taiwan University in 1960, followed by a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University in 1969.
He was married to Ying Wang on December 19, 1964 in Montreal, Canada.
Kuo-Hui had a long and distinguished career in Chemical Engineering, having worked for Shell Oil, Bechtel, and Fluor-Daniel. Kuo-Hui's area of expertise was in Process Engineering and designing petroleum refineries.
Kuo-Hui was a founding and life-long member of Houston Chinese Church, where he served as a Deacon, Elder, and Adult Sunday school teacher. He was widely respected as a godly, wise, and humble leader.
He is survived by his beloved wife Ying, son Samuel and wife Terri, and grandchildren Michael & Rachel Wang.
A visitation for Kuo-Hui will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A committal service will occur Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
