She wasn’t just a beauty, she was also full of laughter and mischief when opportunities came and if they didn’t … she’d create them. She loved to sing and was trained in classical Indian song back in her motherland of India. She’d often belt out a tune at the top of her lungs knowing her husband was watching cricket only to take great umbrage when he closed the door to concentrate on the game. She adored people and parties and was a popular figure wherever she went. Made for glamor, she came with an exquisite collection of saris to prove it and yet loved getting her fingers dirty growing vegetables and various flora. She was from an adoring family she loved and forever missed and of a time when whims could be met by a string of people. An era now long gone. She is survived by her husband, Adhir Guha and her only daughter she called Khuku known to the world as Somi who lives across the ocean in London- a place Lekha also called home many years ago. It is through this daughter of hers that Lekha’s spirit of fun and mischief will live on.
