Lelia Ray (Mayfield) Williams

Lelia Ray Williams, 84, of New Caney, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 28, 2019. She was born in Humble, Texas on December 8, 1934 to Lila Francis (Baker) and Albert Lee Mayfield. She married Robert A. Williams on November 10, 1951 and remained a homemaker, taking care of her family through love and her faith in the Lord. She was a member of Cypress Point Baptist Church and had a passion for Sunday chicken after church, her dogs, John Haggee, Jimmy Swaggert, and shows like Wheel of Fortune.

Lelia is survived by her children; Gary and his wife, Susan, Carmen, Debra and Mary, and Susan; grandchildren; Gary, Jr., Stacie, Robert, Brad, Rachel, Jacque, Helen and their families; 10 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert A. Williams, her siblings, Clyde L. Mayfield, Leon Mayfield, Westley Lee Mayfield, Archie Estel Mayfield, Ruby Dean Mayfield, and Allen Eugene Mayfield.

Though Lelia is suffering no more and now reunited with her love, she is greatly missed.
