Thuy was born on February 14, 1950, in Quan Loi, Vietnam, and grew up in Saigon. There, she met the love of her life, Luan Ngoc Le, and they were married on September 25, 1974. Together, they shared fifty years of marriage built on resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion.
In 1978, Thuy left Vietnam with hopes of creating a new life in America for her family. She pursued tailoring, a craft she excelled in, and eventually opened her own business, LT Tailors, where she proudly served her community for over 20 years. After retiring, she and Luan fulfilled their dream of traveling the world, exploring places they had once only imagined, often capturing their joy in photographs that she treasured deeply.
Beyond her career and travels, Thuy’s life was defined by her selfless love for her family. She was known for her direct and determined spirit, never afraid to speak her mind, always striving for what was best. Though small in stature, she was fierce in protecting and nurturing her loved ones. She often drove to Dallas to care for her grandchildren, cooked meals for her children to bring home, and filled Christmas mornings with joy as she watched her grandchildren open gifts.
Thuy was also a devoted member of the Catholic church and her faith was the foundation of her life. As a devoted Catholic, she was committed to St. Justin Martyr Catholic Community, where she found joy in service, prayer, and fellowship. She dedicated years of service as a member of the Mother Ministry (Hội Các Bà Mẹ Công Giáo) where she generously supported charitable works to help the poor and those in need in Vietnam. Whether attending mass, helping at church events, prayers with the Mother Ministry, or supporting her parish family, she lived her faith through acts of kindness and devotion.
In her later years, Thuy became the devoted caretaker of her husband during his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Her tireless dedication and daily sacrifices reflected the depth of her love and commitment. Her family remembers her not only for her strength and resilience, but also for her giving nature and the countless ways she quietly supported them.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Que Thi Ngo, and mother-in-law, Lien Ngoc Nguyen. She is survived by her beloved husband, Luan Ngoc Le; her two sons, Steven Le (Laura Le) and Thomas Le (Jennifer Duong); and her cherished grandchildren, Ava Le (19), Beckham Le (17), and Jensen Le (4). She is also survived by her father, Thanh Cong Nguyen, and siblings, Minh Nguyen, Khanh Nguyen, Hiep Nguyen, Mai Nguyen, and Hang Nguyen.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her love, sacrifices, and memories will continue to live on in the generations she nurtured.
