Linda S. Davila passed away on January 1, 2026, in Rosenberg, Texas at the age of 92. She was born on April 9, 1933, in Gonzales, Texas, and grew up in Rosenberg. She loved spending time with her sisters and brother and remained deeply close to her siblings throughout her life. At the age of 18, she married her high school sweetheart, Herman Davila. They soon moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where they began their life together and welcomed two sons and a daughter. Linda was a devoted wife and mother, a hardworking woman who took great pride in her family and the life they built. In the 1970s, they moved their family to Houston, Texas, and in 2003 they returned to Rosenberg.
Linda worked at Kroger Grocery Store for more than 20 years, first as a cake decorator and later as a deli manager. She loved her work, but her life was shaped by many other talents. Her garden was always filled with beautiful rose bushes, and she found joy in spending time outdoors. She was also an exceptional baker. She wasn’t just good at it; she was an artist. As a cake decorator, she could turn simple ingredients into something beautiful. She also loved to dance. She and Herman never passed up an invitation, always ready to enjoy the music and celebrate with friends.
She retired in 2000 shortly after her first great grand daughter was born. Her days were filled with laughter and joy as she embraced her new role. Soon after came her first great grandson. She and Herman became a loving and steady presence in the lives of their great grandchildren, Ashley and David Logan.
