She was an employee of Houston Disposal Service, the Swedish Consulate General, Mustang Security Services, and, for the last 25 years, National Retail Delivery Company (NRDC), providing deliveries for Neiman Marcus and Saks. Linda always loved animals, especially horses, cats, and dogs. She was instrumental in collecting funds to save the Atwater Prairie Chicken at her high school. Linda is preceded in death by her father John. She is survived by her mother Doris; her sisters Kathleen Green of St. Paul, MN, and Tricia Green of Monroe, WI; her husband Mike Clarke and step children Ashley Clarke, Steven Kennedy and David Kennedy; and her beloved dog Riouxfus. A gathering in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer will take place from 6 to 7 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 and the memorial service will immediately follow from 7 to 8 pm. Because of her love of animals, in lieu of flowers, memorials to the Houston SPCA or an animal charity of your choice are preferred.
