Lisa Koen died peacefully on January 8, 2025 in Houston Texas

She was born on July 16,1960 to Ann Weber Culver and Gary Culver and is a 3rd generation Houstonian.

She attended Spring Woods High School and was a proud 1983 business graduate of the University of Texas in Austin.

She married Mike Koen in 1996 2 years after their respective mothers pre-arranged a "blind" date at Tin Hall dance hall.

In 2000 they had a son Mitchell.

She worked in treasury management at Frost Bank and then as a business analyst at NOV before finishing her career in the energy distribution industry.

She enjoyed dancing, gardening, cooking and hosting family and friends. She was most passionate about her family and friends.

Lisa is survived by her husband Mike, her son Mitchell, brother Gary Culver (Meredith), sister Christine Patrick, stepdaughter Kate (John), stepson Matthew (Jackie), grandchildren Calvin, Samantha and Skyler, nephews Thomas and Tucker, nieces Katherine (Ed) and Kimberly (Brandon).

She was preceded in death by her mother Ann Weber Didion, stepfather Jake Didion, father-in-law Aaron Koen, mother-in-law Lillian Koen and brother-in-law Mark Patrick.

Funeral service for this most generous and caring woman will be held Monday, 01/20/2025 at 11:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home- Cypress Creek.
