

Lisa was a graduate of Waltrip High School and the University of Houston where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a specialty in printmaking.
Lisa worked at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston as the manager of the Shop at Bayou Bend which thrived due to her unique vision as an artist and her unbelievable creativity. While under her care, the shop reflected her incomparable talent and was the source of immense pride and joy for her. Everything Lisa touched was made more beautiful.
Lisa is survived by her devoted mother, Jean Sugita, sister Michele Sugita McKian and beloved nephew Tristan McKian and his wife Emily. She leaves behind a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends and co-workers, who all loved her dearly. Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Richard Takashi Sugita.
A celebration of Lisa's life will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
