Logan Joseph Ricks, aged 18, passed away on January 10, 2026. Born on November 28, 2007, in Houston, Texas, Logan was a cherished resident of Tomball, Texas. Known for his adventurous, beloved, and brave spirit, Logan was a compassionate and devoted young man, remembered as generous, gentle, and honest. He inspired those around him with his kind-hearted, loyal, and resilient nature, always selflessly giving to others.
Logan was raised in Tomball, Texas, where he attended Rosehill Elementary, Tomball Intermediate, Grand Lakes Jr High, and Tomball High School. He was set to graduate in 2026. Following graduation, Logan planned to follow in his late father's footsteps by becoming a medic in the Army. Over the past year, he worked at Angel Bouncers.
Logan had a passion for the outdoors, where he enjoyed catching all of God's creatures. He was an avid and skilled fisherman from a young age. Logan was fascinated by the Titanic and had extensive knowledge of animals and sea life, earning him the nickname "miniature Steve Irwin." His special talents included moonwalking like Michael Jackson, walking on his hands, performing all the dances from Fortnite, and a love for anime. He always dreamed of visiting Japan.
Logan was actively involved in his community. He cherished spending time at the shooting range with his father and uncle Chris. Logan loved music, playing on his PS5, cooking with his mom, and enjoying movie nights and bonfires with his family.
Logan was very adventurous. He loved exploring, trying, risking, living. That's who he was. He was beloved by his family and friends. His love reached far and echo of it will never leave us. Logan was the bravest kid I know. He stood tall, loved hard and would go to war for anyone he loved. He would even stand up for people who didn't deserve it, without hesitation. His heart was that big.
Logan was cherished by so many and loved more than he ever knew. Logan was compassionate in a world that isn't always kind. His heart reached people before his words ever did. He saw people, really saw them and led with his precious heart. Fear never stopped him - love led him. That was his strength. Logan was devoted in a way you don't see often anymore. He stayed, he showed up, and he cared. He had that kind of soul that loved without conditions and stood without wavering. Once you had his beautiful heart, you had it for life. He was faithful to the people he loved and the promises he made.
Logan was also too honest. a soul that couldn't pretend or hide behind masks. He didn't know how to be anything else. He spoke from the heart even when it would cost him. Logan to many was humorous. He had his way of cracking jokes that made the world feel lighter, even when it wasn't. His laughter was infectious and his wit made every moment with him unforgettable. Logan was inspirational. His actions, his words, and even his laughter reminded us to be better people. He showed us how to face life boldly, love fiercely and stay true to ourselves. A light that encouraged others to shine bright even in the darkest moments.
Logan was resilient. He faced every hardship, every loss, and every trial with a spirit that inspired everyone. Life tested him in ways most of us couldn't imagine, and he met every challenge head on with strength. A soul that bent but never broke carrying the hope and love of life's storms.
