Lois Jeanne Caka

Lois Jeanne McNeice Caka was born on September 6, 1936, in Houston, Texas. She was baptized on August 16, 1942, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, by Pastor Elmo Miertschin, and confirmed on April 2, 1950, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Houston, by Pastor Walter Huber. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Medical Center while in hospice care.

Lois graduated from Lutheran High South in 1954. In 1955, she went to work for Texaco Oil Company as a file clerk. Lois met Johnnie Caka in 1954, at Bulldog Drive-In on North Shepherd Drive. They were married on June 2, 1962, at Our Savior Lutheran, by Pastor W. A. Gerdes. They had two wonderful sons, Gary Wayne Caka and Steven Paul Caka.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie of 60 years; Gary, their oldest son, and his wife Tanya Renee Baggett; Steven and his girlfriend, Sarah Rose; their grandchildren Justin Tyler Caka and his wife April, and their daughter Lillie and Trevor Heath Caka and his soon-to-be wife.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Thursday Nov. 3, 2022, at Pat H Foley Funeral Home located at 1200 W 34th St, Houston, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at Pat H Foley Funeral Chapel as well, on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at 11am. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery located on Antoine Dr near I/10. A bereavement meal/celebration of Lois’ life will follow after the funeral/burial services, at Our Savior Lutheran Church located at 5000 W. Tidwell Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church & School as well as Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church located on W Rittenhouse Rd.
