

Lois Sherrill, 97 entered into earthly life on Thursday, November 6, 1913 in Livingston, Texas to Joe and Dollie Nettles. Lois entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 3:20 p.m. at a local healthcare facility in Houston, Texas. She was a member of Houston’s First Baptist Church and will be remembered for her love of family, cooking, playing board games and in her earlier years for her talent of knitting and crocheting. She leaves to cherish fond memories, her sister, Elizabeth Mayo; daughter, Latayne Mizell; grandchildren, Cynthia Sue Stang, Willis and Vicki Logan, Charlotte Logan Klee, Ray Leon Logan, II and Doris Ann Stang; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Logan Parker and husband Victor; grandchildren, Stacy Sherrill Bennett and children Brayden and Britton Bennett, John Sherrill and children Jadon, Jack and Kyle Sherrill, Bryan Mizell and children Brandy Davis, Gary Mizell, Caitlin J. Mizell and Collin Mizell, Sherill Evan and children Michael Gilliam and Laura Gilliam and Lynna Peterson and children Sean Carnett and Loryn Carnett; great-great grandson, Jack Weeks Mizell and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is reunited with her husbands, Willis “Bill” Hardman Rodgers and Horace “Bud” Sherrill; her parents; two daughters, Billie Rodgers Stang and Sudie Rodgers Logan; son, Kenneth Sherrill; sister, Iris Lunsford and three brothers, Joe Sherman Nettles, Smyth Nettles and “Jimbo” Nettles. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. in Staterooms A&B of Pat H. Foley & Company. A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with a final period of visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Nettles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
