

Lola Grenwelge was born June 25, 1930 to Sterling and Marie Bowles in Houston Texas. She graduated from Reagan High School and attended the University of Houston. Lola was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. At Zion, she made lifelong friends and met the love of her life, Robert Grenwelge. Bob and Lola were married at Zion Lutheran Church on April 30, 1950. To this union, five children were born, Lynn, Kathie, Robert, Ann and, Bill. They were blessed with 49 years of marriage.
Through Lola's life she had many titles, wife, mother, and Nana. She loved her family. Her door was always open and welcomed all to share in a meal or just a visit. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a special delight that she could never receive enough visits from. Lola was a great cook and taught all of her children and was in the process of teaching grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to cook. She loves passing her recipes on to all.
She is survived by her children Lynn (Gary) Schroeder, Kathie (Howard) Klare, Robert (Debora) Grenwelge, Ann Grenwelge, and Bill (Lise) Grenwelge. 11 grandchildren Krista (Matt) Dankert, Philip Schroeder, Kelly (Tracy) Klare, Kim (Dewayne) Harthorn, Erin (Bobby) Leshikar, Ryan (Jennifer) Grenwelge, Jessica (Scott) Mckenney, Brittany (Peter) Holloway, Katie Grenwelge, Kristen (JR) Sydow, and Michael Grenwelge. Nine great-grandchildren Kennedy and Kylie Dankert, Madison and Brock Klare, Hannah and Brooke Harthorn, Avlynn Lopez, and Ian and Indie McKenney. Sisters Beverly (Cecil) Anderson and Del Hendricks. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and lots of friends.
Lola entered eternal life on June 12, 2016 and will join her beloved husband and all those who have passed on before her. She had a kind and tender heart and never spoke a bad word about anyone. She will be forever missed by all those blessed with the gift of time spend with Lola.
