Lorraine B. Lalmansingh, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born on June 6, 1944, in Trinidad and Tobago, Lorraine lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and dedication to others. Lorraine and her husband of 40 years, Seth, made the brave decision to move their young family to the United States in 1980, in search of greater opportunities and a better life for their children.
A registered nurse by profession, Lorraine cared deeply for those around her, both in her career and in her personal life. She was known for her thoughtful nature, her patience, and her ability to comfort others with kindness and understanding. She was also a feisty and funny spirit, who could make those around her laugh even in difficult times.
Lorraine was a woman of many gifts—her family will always remember her as a great cook who brought everyone together with warm meals, laughter, and love. She faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, embodying resilience and strength in every season of her life.
Lorraine’s legacy lives on through her five children—Saskia, Soraya, Andrew, Mark, and Sabrina—and her cherished grandchildren: Aidan, Anjali, Hannah, Emily, Christian, Erin, Nathan, and Asa. To her family and all who knew her, Lorraine was caring, thoughtful, and deeply loving. She will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the countless ways she touched the lives of others with warmth, strength, and humor.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at 7010 Chetwood, Houston, Texas 77081.
