

Louis “Buddy” Cashiola, born June 29, 1932, passed away on July 3, 2012. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather; A true friend, A devout Catholic, attending daily Mass. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Society of Little York. He attended St Joseph School, a proud graduate of St. Thomas High School, Class of 1950. His 5 years there gave him his strong faith. Goodness, discipline and knowledge, their motto. He was an honor student all 5 years and pleased to have two grandsons become “Eagle” graduates.
Louis served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Richardson, Alaska. He was the General Manager of Central Garden, being in the business for 45 years. He loved to garden with his grandsons; he had many tomato friends. He took up golf late and loved the game. His thrill was to play Pebble Beach on his summers spent in Carmel, CA. He was an avid fisherman and loved his home in Galveston, which was his little “Hawaii”.
Louis was the son of Peter and Rose (Sedita) Cashiola. Sisters, Antoinette Pinina, Ann Cashiola, Mary Rose Cashiola, Carolyn, husband Steve Lawrence Rosalie, husband Rick Kessler. Brothers; Joseph, wife Ann, Michael, wife Frances, Charles, wife Diane and Gerald Cashiola, Pete Cashiola, Jr., deceased. Brother-in-law, Nuncio Martino and wife JoAnn. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Louis is survived by his wife, Carol, son Phillip and daughter-in-law, Alexandra. Grandchildren, Luke, Joel and Lauren Cashiola. Daughters, Lynn Blinsky, Terry and son-in-law Stephen Johnson Sr., Amy and son-in-law Eric Kirn. Grandsons, Stephen Jr. and Michael Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Msgr. Frank Rossi, officiating. The family is to gather for a private graveside service.
