

A visitation for Louis will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 15, 2022, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 2730 Nelwood Dr, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Friday, July 15, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
Louis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Anthony and Florence Alberti Gallo on June 17, 1931. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Houston, Texas where he attended school and helped his father run the family businesses. He attended Saint Thomas High School then attended the University of Houston where he met the love of his life Marie Tamayo. They were married on February 11th, 1961 and were constant companions until her death in 2007. For 23 years he worked for Gulf Oil/Chevron in the accounting department. He was a veteran of the U.S Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma where he served in the artillery division. He was an intelligent, talented man with many interests. He was an artist, loved history, sports and enjoyed talking with friends and family. He was a godly, kind, generous person who quietly donated to charities to help the less fortunate. He was loved everywhere he went. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Marie Tamayo Gallo, his father Antony Gallo, his mother Florence Alberti Gallo, his siblings Joe, Rose and Vic Gallo and his grandson David Evans. He is survived by his daughter Yvonne Evans, her husband Woody and his grandsons Daniel and Matthew Evans, as well as many nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be Mike Gallo, Paul Gallo, Mike Camper, Woody Evans, Daniel Evans, and Matthew Evans,
