Louis Nelson Tilotta, age 88, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Louis was born in Houston, Texas on July 9, 1935, to the late Reverend Joseph J. Tilotta and Evelyn Harvey Tilotta.
Louis dedicated his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and assisted his father by leading the music ministry at the Glory Hill Tabernacle for many years. As a young adult, he drove a truck for the family - owned business, Blue Flame Gas Co., and later made his career by driving an 18-wheeler for Merchants Trucking.
Louis is survived by the love of his life, Ann Springer Tilotta. Louis and Ann recently celebrated 69 years of marriage. They are the parents of two surviving sons, Louis Nelson Tilotta, Jr. and wife Hope, and Richard Lee (Ricky) Tilotta; Grandsons Matthew Alan Tilotta, Ryan Wesley Tilotta, Mitchell James Tilotta, and Patrick Louis Tilotta.
Louis is also survived by his sister, Sharon Marie Weis, Aunt, Addie Sustala, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-laws who will all cherish his memory.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Evelyn Tilotta, his older brother, Joseph Tilotta, Jr. his twin brother, Charles Conrad Tilotta.
A visitation for Louis will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial committal will occur Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Memorial Park.
