We are grateful to have had Buddy as a neighbor and a friend for several years.  
  
One fun story we like to share is was when we were trying to locate some buried lines in our front yard and had several guys digging in random spots. There was a bit of a mess already happening when Buddy walked over, halted the process and said he could help. He asked for a wire hanger, which he made into something he held in hands. We thought maybe he was just playing a joke on us, but he then proceeded to walk the yard, located the lines and told the guys were to dig. We were all pretty impressed with this process, as none of us had ever seen anyone do this before.

Another time when Chris was trying to teach our girls to use the riding lawnmower, he was “instructing” in a voice that was little louder than he intended. Again, Buddy walked over to see if he could assist, and much to the girl’s happiness, he helped defuse the situation. With a twinkle in his eye, he mentioned that when it came time for the girl’s driver’s training, maybe he would teach the girls instead.

These are only just a couple of stories from over the years. We are certainly going to miss having Buddy around to offer up his wisdom, but hope he will still be keeping a twinkling eye on us all.

Well Buddy, I know you’re not in pain anymore. Just wish there could have been another way.. I sure am going to miss you. You treated me like part of the family and I will always forever cherish the moments we had .you rest in peace now, you will forever be in my heart. Keep on smiling, Buddy.

I have nothing but fond memories of Buddy.  I will always remember him as a very strong man, great father with a great smile and contagious laugh.  He is truly blessed with great kids, grand kids and great grand kids.  He will surely be missed by all.  Prayers for his family during this very difficult time.  The service was beautiful and I know he was smiling down from Heaven today.

The greatest gift we ever had was you , Dad!! Thank you for the lifetime of love you gave me and my boys. We will cherish every memory made with you. Give Mom, Aunt Sherron, Nonnie, Grandpa, Grandma and Linda a hug and kiss.

Buddy you always had a smile and a race story for me.  You loved your family and friends , and will be greatly missed!

I remember the day I ask for his permission to Marry his Daughter Angela,  He said can you take care of my Baby Girl and I said Yes Sir, He replied ‘YOU DAM WELL BETTER !!!!

Rest in peace papa. The saying “life is too short” showers over me while I write this. I’ll always remember the good times shared together. Starting from my go-cart (one of the coolest gifts a kid could ask for) you bought me and my brothers when I was 8, and all the way to the end. The memories, and stories are everlasting. I am blessed to have been able to have you as my papa.

Uncle Buddy was such a fun to be around  kinda guy. His smile could light up a room  & was quite contagious. As a child growing up I remember him as a kind & sweet man that enjoyed being around the kids. After I grew up & hadn't seen him in a few years, there he was coming into my job buying parts...it was awesome seeing him, he hadn't changed a bit, & when I hollered his name, out came the awesome smile & kindness he always showed towards me...after he would leave I always had a smile on my face & felt love in my heart for him. 💞

I’m so glad that DJ got to see Buddy when he was home this past summer. We were always welcomed to the families Thanksgiving and Christmas gathering's Buddy always made us feel like one of the family . Sending lots of hugs and kisses to everyone.

“You hungry? No, I’m Buddy”, is just one of the jokes he would pull on us and he would get me every time. I’m going to miss the talks, the trips and the great times we had in your garage drinking a beer. The boys were so lucky to have you as a part of their lives. We love you so much.

Many people knew him as Buddy, but I was blessed to know him as Papa. He was truly the best Papa not only to me, my cousins, my children and my husband, Jacob. We spent many, many hours sitting in the garage while he would tell me stories of the good ole days. He would crack a joke here and there, continuing to make me laugh. We shared many of my “firsts”, my first ski trip to Colorado, my first rodeo concert, my first trail ride, he was part of my first big girl purchase, and so many more. Jaxson was born in 2013 and he was so proud to have a great-grandson. They were best friends, Jaxson loved his Papa more than anything. A few short years later Kaiden was born, talk about two spoiled boys. Gigi and Papa made sure those boys had everything they needed when they came over to their house. 

We will miss him dearly but I am grateful to have all the great memories.

We lost a good one, y'all. If you knew him, you'll agree. If you didn't, I am truly sorry that you missed out. Buddy was a bright light in a dark room, he never met a stranger & if he loved you he loved you forever. We've missed him since he stopped bowling a few years ago due to the loss of his wife, Linda, and a back injury but his absence in the world will be felt far beyond the bowling alley. Our thoughts are with his family who adored him. Rest easy, Buddy. You are and will continue to forever be loved. Thank you for everything. You were one of the real ones.

Rest in peace Uncle Buddy. I'll always remember the adventures we shared and the times you were there when I needed you.

Papa, as we called him, was everything you could imagine. Tradesmen, gambler, partier, and an ass kicker. His hilarious laugh all the way to the intimidating glare. If he chewed your ass out, well you probably deserved it, especially us grand children. My brothers and I will spend the rest of our lives trying to amount to a quarter of the knowledge and wisdom he was able to show us. 

You will always be remembered, see ya in the next life ❤️ save me a beer

Buddy was a big part of the Walker Kids lives as we grew up, until he had his beautiful family. He was always fun and dared you to try things you would never do. We loved him with all of our hearts. Rest in Peace Uncle Buddy.

I first met Buddy on Father's Day 1981. I was also meeting my future in-laws for the first time.  As we pulled into the Hessong driveway,  Buddy stepped off the porch,  opened my car door and with that big ole grin of his says " Well looky here, this is the gal that finally roped and tied him!" And then he busted out in his unforgettable laugh. He always had a way of making people feel warm and welcomed, even if it wasn't his house! I think it was probably 3 or 4 months before I figured out that he and George were NOT brothers,  lol. 
I'm so sorry y'all have lost this beautiful light from your lives. My sincerest condolences for you loss.
