Louise attended the local schools in Homer, LA.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and auntie who is affectionately known as “Big Momma” to so many. From the “Cool Cup Lady” in Spring Branch to the “I need a baby sitter” to many, her love will continue to guide us through, as she would say “Stay Strong and Trust in the Lord.”
She was blessed with 89 years of life, going through loses, and the trials and tribulation of this world, but above all else she trusted in the Lord.
Louise loved Sewing, Cooking, working Crossword Puzzles and Quilts. Louise also had a fond joy of going to the Casino and spending time with her family.
Louise married Leroy Ferguson in April 21, 1949 and in 1957 they relocated to Houston Texas. To the beautiful union Louise and her husband Leroy raised 10 precious kids. Helen, Jessie, Bertha, McFalls (Frank), Barbara, Denitra, Leroy Jr. (Dolores), Earl, Keith, Luther, and Kenneth. Louise siblings, Tom, Herman, Sherman, Norah, Nathaniel, Lawrene, Willie, Bruce, Minnie, Lena, Mary and Lee. She has had the honor of being a Grandmother to 27 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Mom’s love was like the love of Jesus, slow to anger and she never judged us, never quarreled with us, just giving her unconditional love to us and all who knew her.
Her beautiful memory full of unity, love, peace, happiness and understanding, will be with us forever.
