Luis Cazares Escamilla

On the 23rd day of January in 2013, Luis Escamilla Sr. joined his late wife, Maria Escamilla, and his two sons, Ralph Escamilla, Sr. and Luis Escamilla Jr. in Heaven after living a long life full of family and love. Luis always surrounded himself with those who mattered most, his family. His family always came first, no matter what. Luis was a man that liked to have a good time with good company and great food. With any visit to the house, he was the first one to greet you as you walked in, sitting on his favorite couch or on the porch with his sunglasses on. He was always warm and welcoming to the family and friends coming in and out of the house. He was a great cook, and could make anything into a flavorful dish that everyone enjoyed. The house was always filled with laughter of conversation mixed in with the tantalizing aroma of whatever Luis had cooking in the back. At eighty-six years old, Luis leaves behind a loving family that will always remember the good food, the great conversation, and the wonderful memories. With the smell of coffee, or the great taste of homemade menudo, Luis Escamilla,Sr. will not be forgotten.
