Luis Fernando Siliceo passed away at Memorial Hermann Cypress the morning of the 16th of June. He was 55 years of age. He was born August 27, 1965 to father Luis Fernando Siliceo Paredes and mother Maria Lozano Prieto, in Mexico City, Mexico as the eldest of 5 siblings Adriana, Alberto, Cecilia, and Paul. He Attended La Universidad Iberoamericana graduating in 1987 with a degree in Chemical Engineering, where he would meet his future wife. Fernando married Ivette Valdez Alvarez in 1990 at La Parroquia Santa Maria Reyna after which he had 2 sons Bruno and Mario Siliceo. He then attended la Universidad la Salle graduating in 1994 with a Masters in Business Administration.
Fernando worked diligently in his everyday life, he strove to over achieve and was a man that took no shortcuts regardless of the challenges he faced. Through all his hard work, he accomplished much and received recognition internationally. His dedication to excellence was only overshadowed by his love for his family. He was always a strong role model, a supportive parent, and husband. Fernando taught his family to always have high standards, to pursue education, passions, and dreams.
Fernando loved to share his passions with those he cared for as well as those who shared his passions.Some of his pastimes included gardening and sharing family moments with board games like Risk, Marathon, and Clue. Fernando loved soccer, football, and golf, but his favorite was baseball. His love of baseball was passed down from his father to him and was something he passed down to his sons. His love of baseball was shown by his willingness to coach not only his sons but their teammates as well. You could ask him anything about baseball, and he could rattle it off like he was a walking statistics book.
He had vast knowledge in many areas, and he would give this freely to anyone that would need him. He was a man both respected and admired by many. It makes his family proud that he was and will be respected by all those he met.
Fernando was very proud of his marriage of 31 years with Ivette, and of his two sons Bruno and Mario Siliceo.
