She divorced, and in 1977, at the age of 38, with her mother, Arevahad Surmenian, aged 68 at the time, and her 2 young sons, Adrian, and Valentin, she immigrated to the United States at her brother Mardiros’s calling.
Later, she was blessed with her first grandchild Nathan, in 1999. Following was Amanda, born in 2003, and Aidan, born in 2009.
Both in Romania and after a few entry positions in US, she practiced her accounting knowledge. She definitely liked her numbers, along with other hobbies such as crossword puzzles.
