Lula Charity Dillard Thresher was born in Waxahachie Texas on January 23rd 1926. She went peacefully to the Pearly Gates on July 8th 2017. Funeral services will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with a celebration of life to begin at 12:30 in the chapel and interment to follow.
A mother to five adopted children but a Mama too many others. She loved to cook and collect recipes from around the world, her door was always open and food was always on the stove. Her talents included sewing, painting, collecting antiques, and ceramic dolls. Preceded in death was her husband Robert Thresher. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Larry Eugene Thresher and one great-grandchild Christi Jean Thresher.
She is survived by her four children Kathy Fields of Waterford, Michigan, Don Thresher of Houston, Texas, Vickie Havard of Houston, Texas and Cindie and John Herrick of Haslet,Texas. 12 loving grandchildren Tonia, Bobby, Jason, Jared, Michelle, Christi, Cara, Ty, Matthew, Jessie, Robert and Theresa. She had 16 wonderful great-grandchildren.
