Mrs. Newitt was born September 12, 1926 to Agnes Pollock Krogh & Gustave Bernhard Krogh of New Orleans, LA, where she was raised with her four siblings. She is preceded in death by: her husband of 58 years Louis Austin Newitt, her daughter Carolyn Newitt, sister Evelyn Krogh and brothers Gus & Allen.
Lydia is survived by her daughter Mrs. Barbara Newitt Morris and her husband Jim Morris, daughters Mrs. Linda Marbach, Patricia Newitt and sister Dorothy Bouquet, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Newitt’s memorial will be August 14, 2021, 2:00 pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, reception to follow.
