Lynn passed from complications of ALS, with his loving wife Ruby at his side. Adored and admired by so many, this wonderful couple recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Lynn was born and raised in Oklahoma, where he and Ruby first met, and they raised three children, Jeffrey Zimmerman (4/54 - 8/09), Sheri Zimmerman-Herwig and Brent Zimmerman. They also have four grandchildren -- Daniel, Shay, Andy and Christopher -- along with five great grandchildren. Lynn retired in 1990 from Southwestern Bell (now AT&T), where he had worked his way up the ranks from an installer to a senior executive over his 38 year career. During his retirement -- while he worked diligently on his golf game -- he also stood as Ruby’s devoted caregiver during her successful battle against breast cancer, just as she stood with him during his challenging fight with ALS. He was the son of Lynn and Bessie Zimmerman, and the fourth of seven children; Richard, Betty, Priscilla (10/31 - 2/11), Bunny, Rick and Jo Ann. Lynn leaves a legacy -- both personal and professional -- of generosity, humor and love. He will be greatly missed.
