Marie Yvonne Manaley passed away peacefully on July 8th at the age of 93. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 20, 1931, the daughter of Joseph Edward Robeau and Marie Theresa O'Connor Robeau.
Yvonne (her preferred name) graduated from All Saints Episcopal College in Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1951. She later married Joseph James Manaley on April 21, 1955. Together, they owned and operated a printing business, where they provided services to many local businesses in the Houston area. Yvonne also worked as a cosmetic and clothes buyer for a Pharmacy and Walter Pye’s clothing store. She was also a volunteer for many years at SW Memorial hospital.
Yvonne was a long time member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America—Amani Court 72 of Houston, TX—where she proudly served and participated in numerous events that benefited the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Yvonne is survived by her two nephews, Joseph Edward Robeau III of Port Townsend, Washington and Richard Mark Robeau of San Antonio, Texas; grand-nieces, Kathryn, Lillian, and Sherri; and grand-nephew, Richard. Yvonne also leaves behind many close friends.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Joseph James Manaley; her brother, Joseph Edward Robeau II; and her parents, Joseph Edward Robeau and Marie Theresa O'Connor Robeau.
The family would like to acknowledge and express great appreciation to Art and Maggie Lopez for their love and care of Yvonne over the years. In addition, a special thanks to Midtown Hospice for their help and care for Yvonne.

A visitation for Yvonne will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service is scheduled to follow and will begin promptly at 2:00 PM in Brookside’s Family Chapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
