Mac Botello Buentello

Mac grew up in Odem, TX and graduated from Miller High School in Corpus Christi, TX. He competed in many basketball and baseball games. He was also a member for the cheerleading squad. Mac also graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He married Margie Buentello on June 7, 1975. He had a career in sales for American General, WKM, Rawson, All State, Mustang/CAT, and Holt/CAT. Mac was a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He enjoyed fishing, golf, coaching youth in basketball and baseball, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and his dog “Rocket”.

Mac is preceded in death by his father Mace Buentello; daughter Monica Beth Buentello; sister Olivia Buentello; and nephew Max Burnett. He is survived by his mother Margaret Buentello; daughter Amber Buentello; sons Nathan Buentello, Dustin Buentello; dog Rocket; sister Lali Buentello; and brother Peter Buentello and sister-in-law Stella Freeman.

A rosary service for Mac will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A visitation will occur Monday, December 6, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A burial will occur Monday, December 6, 2021 at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
