Malcolm graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1977 with a degree in business. His career took him through many mergers and acquisitions in the oil and gas industry, starting with Gulf, through Texaco and then finally Chevron, from which he retired in 2012. Malcolm was a one-of-a-kind, humorous and adventurous soul and willing to try anything once. He participated in golf, bowling, white water rafting, zip-lining and many other “bucket list” type of activities. Malcolm took pride in his home, yard and garden, stemming from his early childhood farm life experience. His retirement years were spent traveling and exploring different countries and American destinations with a group of close friends.
Malcolm is proceeded in his death by his father, James Delmont Taylor, mother, Carolyn Mullenix Taylor, and twin brother, Mark Darin Taylor. There are no known surviving family members. Malcolm’s dearest and long time friend, Linhard Hlanak Jr., provided and assisted with Malcolm’s care needs in his final months.
Malcolm wished to be cremated and buried next to his twin brother Mark, in Oklahoma City. A small, intimate remembrance ceremony will be held at a future date.
Those wishing to honor Malcolm are requested to make a donation or contribution to their favorite charity in Memory of Malcolm Taylor.
