Manuel Mata, 67, of Humble went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2014. He was born in Guaname San Luis Potosi Mexico on September 25, 1947. He immigrated to the United States in 1972 and has resided in Houston, Texas ever since. He is survived by his wife Maria Mata of 40 years, children Maribel Mata Monterrey and her husband Victor Monterrey, Manuel Mata Jr. and his wife Gabriela Mata, Marco Antonio Mata and his wife Edith Luna and Marisa Mata; by his grandchildren Manuel Mata III, Ariana Isabel Mata, Alejandra Gabriela Mata, Antonio Daniel Monterrey, Gael Gerardo Mata and Victoria Monterrey. His memory will forever be in our hearts and he will be deeply missed. He loved all things western, UT Longhorns, UH Cougars and his beloved Astros.
