Marcelino G Garcia

Marcelino Garcia Garcia, 80, passed away peacefully and left to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on November 17, 2016 at West Houston Medical Center. He returned to his heavenly home after a valiant battle with a lung cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Marcelino was born on August 9, 1936 to the Lazaro and Engracia Garcia. He was immersed in the Catholic community and enjoyed YMCA, Church, Millennium Club and playing cards with old friends. He received his law degree in the Philippines and became an Administrative Officer for the Government of Philippines and retired with the Consulate of Foreign Affairs.

Marcelino was blessed with a loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Nicanora Garcia and his 3 children, Racel Cela, Rex Garcia and Rizza Tupa and his two grandchildren, Jordan and Maya Cela.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service starting at 5pm that includes a visitation then rosary prayer followed by a gathering with light appetizers on November 22, 2016 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX. 77079. Funeral Mass will be held on November 23, 2016 at 10:30am in St Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Dr, Houston, TX. 77082. Interment Service will follow at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
