Margaret "Denise" Borel, 63, from Houston, TX went Home to Jesus on February 8, 2017 after a long battle with emphysema. She was born March 9, 1953, in Houston, Texas to John Preston Borel and Dora Melba Lee Williams Borel. Margaret is survived by her sister, Sandra Henry; daughter, Monica Barger and son-in-law Jay Barger of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren: Chris Barger and wife Katie Barger, Nicole Barger, Brittaney Barger and Zach House; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Growing up as the youngest of 4 sisters, she had a super natural inner strength which gave her determination to push through all that life had to offer. She was passionate about what she wanted to do and with her strong-will and determination she was definitely a force to be reckoned with. Many times in life she or someone she loved might be facing a giant in life and she would be that one to fight the battle with you. She had a passion for living, loved music, dancing, playing dominoes with her sisters, friends and family. She was actively involved in the Houston Farm and Ranch children events along with other activities.
She overcame many obstacles in life and persevered to become a leading project manager at one of Houston's largest oil companies.
She accomplished many things in life but nothing compares to the day she surrendered her life to Christ, this gave her the hope she needed to face each battle to fight every day to stay alive and to be with her family. Her determination, strength and warrior like spirit will continue to live on through her loved ones and the hearts of those she touched. We remember she is definitely in our future as end is when the most amazing thing happens, death loses its strength and grace appears ... Grace and love win every time.
