Margaret Louise Kent

Margaret Louise Kent, 93, Beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away on March 30th, 2012 in Houston Texas. She was born to Frank and Theresa Terpe in Houston Texas on June 18th, 1918. A Native Houstonian she she grew up with a brother and sister in the east end of Houston. She attended Catholic schools and after graduation she attended business school. In 1940 she married Currie Kent and together they had 6 children. She worked as a restaurant owner and manager and an Insurance agent but her most rewarding career was as Mother and Homemaker. She was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church and had varied interests including, Oil Painting, gardening, Playing Cards, cooking, but always enjoyed her family most.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caretakers, Donna LeBouef and Barbara Jeansonne as well as Doctor Theresa Vicroy and Dr. Clement DeFelice.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Currie Kent Sr. and sons Currie Kent Jr. and Michael Kent as well as her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Rosanne Hlavinka and husband Don, Margie Upshaw and husband Charlie, sons Jim Kent and Denise Tim Kent and wife Jeri. She also leaves behind eleven Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and three Great-Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Kent, Shawn Beard, Chris Hlavinka, Matthew Hlavinka, Jimmy Upshaw and Tyler Upshaw.
