

Margaret Weaver Murphy, departed this earth on the fourth day of June 2013 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her beloved husband Randel Lee (Pat) Murphy Jr. Margaret was born on September 25, 1923, the daughter of Alfred and Isabelle Weaver of Highland Park, Texas. Margaret and family relocated to Houston, Texas in the early 1930s, where she would go on to raise a family, and create a great" legacy of giving" to all who knew her. Margaret had attended UT and was a member of ADPi sorority. She was married in the summer of 1945, to Pat Murphy, also of Houston. They married between VE and VJ Day while he was home on leave from the U. S. Air Force. She met Pat during her high school years and began a relationship that grew into a life-long journey together that culminated into a 67-year marriage. During her lifetime, she gave birth to three boys; Randel Lee Murphy III, William Alfred Murphy, and Patrick Harrison Murphy. Her involvement as a loving and supportive mother and wife was evident in everything that she did. Her involvements included home room mom, tutor, den mother; school volunteer, auxiliary neighborhood mom, sports athletics facilitator, and family religious motivator, with Christ's help at St. Johns the Devine Episcopal Church. Margaret was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was always giving and asked nothing in return. Love and Trust defined her and her sacrifices were many. She is and will always be missed by those whose lives she touched. She leaves behind her sons, Randy and wife Mary of Austin, TX, Bill and wife Marla of Granbury, TX, and Patrick and wife Jana of Houston, TX; grandchildren, include Robert, Judson, Jerry, Julie, Kelly, and Blaine Murphy, and Blaine's wife Heather and three great grandchildren, Brieana, Briggs, and Blakely.
