Margie K Hunt

Margie Kronenberger Hunt died Saturday, the 7th of February, 2026 in Houston, Texas, at the age of 89. She was born on August 13, 1936, in Bremond, Texas to Mary and Frank Kronenberger. She enjoyed an idyllic small-town childhood: walking into town to meet up with friends, getting ice cream at the soda fountain and attending CYO dances all around central Texas. Margie attended Bremond High School, where she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen. After high school graduation, Margie headed to the big city of Houston where she met and married her first husband John Templet. They moved to New York City, where they enjoyed all it had to offer. Eventually they welcomed 2 daughters and moved back to Houston. The next years were spent raising children and enjoying time with family.

In 1978 Margie met and married Robert “Bob” G. Hunt. They spent their time attending Texas A&M football games and traveling. After Bob’s death, Margie continued going to A&M football games with her son in law Tim.

Margie is survived by daughters Laura Templet, Julie Templet Strohmaier (Tim), grandsons Thomas John Cloud (Miranda) and Tristan Cloud (Grace).

Margie was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church, and her faith was very important to her.

Family will hold a private ceremony in Bremond, “returning to her roots”, where she will join her beloved parents.
