Ms. Maria L. Lopez

She was married to Eduardo Navarro Lopez on October 10, 1953.

Maria was a member of the Channelview Senior Citizens Organization and had a passion for knitting and playing loteria. Maria also participated in the senior olympics and enjoyed spending her time with other seniors.

She is preceded in death by her loving Husband: Eduardo Navarro Lopez and Granddaughters: Marisa Ann Torres and Sonia Marie Salas and Parents :Jesus and Benigna Chavarria, Brothers Juan Antonio Echavarria, Severino Echavarria, Reymundo Echavarria and sisters Irma Olveda, Carmela Monsivais and Maria de Jesus Munguia.

Maria is survived by her children Lupe Pruneda (John Adams), Rose Mary Valdes, Mary Helen Salas (Fernando), Joe Louis Lopez, (Denise Riojas), Elizabeth Argueta (Arturo), Eduardo Lopez along with 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and sister Guadalupe Monsivais.

A visitation for Maria will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A rosary service will occur Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A visitation will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A committal service will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
