Maria Lydia Martinez, 71 passed away on January 21, 2023. She was born September 16, 1952 in Houston, Texas to John Joe Moreno and Juanita Salazar. She is survived by her daughter Ericka and husband David Gunter and son John Obregon along with five grandaugthers, Ashley, Adrianna and her husband Miguel Evangelista Arisleysis, Aubrianna two grandsons Nicholas, Jacob and three great grandchildren, Aveah, Amaris and Nicholas.
Maria was a strong willed woman and dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. In her spare time visiting friends and family and enjoyed going to the movies, Foodtown, and Walmart. Her family and friends will always remember her as an outspoken loving firecracker. She was a giving person and never expected anything in return.
The visitation is from 6pm until 9pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Brookside Funeral Home. The ceremony and farewell will follow at 2:30pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
